Voluntary Work

Helping others is what I like doing.

St. Anne's Parish Marsaskala Altar boys

I have been helping in the leadership of this group since 2014.
The first mission I was given was to organize a trip for around 20 people (altar boys and relatives) to visit Forli, Italy. I helped in the ticket booking for all, including the vice-parish priest accompanying us. I communicated with the host and prepared all consent forms for the parents of altar boys travelling alone.

From then on, I attend the weekly meeting and sometimes even prepare and deliver the meetings myself. I also guide older altar boys in preparing material to deliver meetings themselves. I am part of the committee who meet once a month to decide on the themes of meetings and other activities related to this group.

Every year I organize a two-night sleep-over in Gozo. We are usually around 20 persons in all, including another leader and some helpers. I take care of the planning, accounts and shopping needs.

In 2018 I also finished a two year diploma in Adoloscent and Youth Ministry to help me in my work with these children and adoloscents.

Every year I also help in a youth live-in organized by our parish for all the youths in Marsaskala. I help in the organization and running of activities.
